ADULT INVOLVEMENT​

LEADERS

Working directly with students, our volunteer leaders come from a variety of backgrounds. They're moms and dads, college students and working professionals, retirees, and other compassionate adults who want God's best for kids. The diversity of our volunteers helps us make an eternal difference with all kinds of kids in all kinds of places. ​

The first step to becoming a leader is a one on one meeting with our Area Director, Katie Feilen, to hear about your heart for working with students. Next is attending a Club to see what it's all about. If it feels like a good fit, the next step is some paperwork including Statements of Faith and Conduct, background check, etc and then get ready to show up in the world of students!

COMMITTEE

Interested in joining Young Life Committee? Committee is made up of caring adults within the community who are excited about students hearing about God's love for them. While not working directly with students, an effective committee fulfills other roles like:

  • Help create the vision for reaching every kid in the local area
  • Pray for all facets of the ministry
  • Ensure the integrity of the local ministry
  • Promote Young Life in the community
  • Raise funds to guarantee the local budget
  • Monitor the financial affairs of the area
  • Support and assist Young Life staff and leaders
  • Provide leaders with input and advice
  • Maintain the continuity of Young Life in the area
  • Work with the regional director, especially during staff transition
